The dishwasher power cord can overheat and catch fire, posing a fire hazard and property damage risk.
On October 20, 2017, BSH Home Appliances expanded its earlier October 2015 recall of dishwashers sold under the Bosch, Gaggenau, JennAir, and Thermador brands. The expansion covered an additional 469,000 units, including JennAir-branded dishwashers manufactured between early 2013 and mid-2015.
BSH received multiple reports of power cords overheating during use, causing fires that resulted in property damage. No injuries were reported.
Affected dishwashers were sold by home improvement retailers, department stores, authorized builder distributors, and appliance and specialty retailers in the U.S. from January 2013 through May 2015.
Stop using the dishwasher immediately. Contact BSH Home Appliances for a free on-site inspection and power cord replacement. Do not use the dishwasher until the repair is completed.
