# San Francisco

SF kitchens do not look like Chicago kitchens. Our Bay Area service reflects the reality of the housing stock: tight Victorian and Edwardian kitchens in Pacific Heights and the Mission, mid-century remodels across the East Bay, and new-build construction down the Peninsula that frequently features top-of-line JennAir fully-integrated suites. Coverage runs from SF proper (Pac Heights, Noe Valley, the Castro, SoMa, Richmond, Sunset, the Marina) across the Bay Bridge to Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, and Fremont, and down the Peninsula through Daly City, San Mateo, Palo Alto, and San Jose.

## Retrofit challenges are our specialty

Older SF homes mean older kitchen footprints — and JennAir columns are 24 or 30 inches wide, installed in spaces originally sized for 18-inch vintage refrigerators. That creates airflow constraints that cause compressors to overwork, condenser coils to clog early, and side gaskets to heat-stress. Roughly a third of the SF service calls we run involve a retrofit fault rather than a component failure, and diagnosing that accurately is the difference between a repair that lasts three years and one that fails next summer.

## What Bay Area clients tend to own

Wine and beverage columns are overrepresented in the Bay Area relative to other metros — not surprising given the number of collectors and the proximity to Napa. Dual-zone temperature faults, interior LED failures, and condenser fan noise are the repairs we handle most for wine columns. On the cooking side, Magnetic Rapid Induction cooktops and V2 convection wall ovens dominate the new builds we service in the Peninsula and South Bay.

## Scheduling around Bay Area traffic

Bay Area routing is dictated by the bridges. SF-based technicians handle the city and the Peninsula as far south as Redwood City. East Bay technicians cover Oakland, Berkeley, and through the Caldecott into Walnut Creek and Concord. The South Bay (Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose) runs on its own route with same-day availability for morning calls. Palo Alto and Menlo Park sit at the boundary — we schedule them off either route depending on parts availability that day.

## Parts and warranty

Our Bay Area parts cache is kept in a secured warehouse in the East Bay, with satellite stock in South SF so that Peninsula calls do not require a bridge crossing for common components. As with every other metro, parts are genuine OEM only, sourced through JennAir’s authorized distributor channel. Every repair carries the 30-day parts-and-labor warranty, and we log every service call against the specific unit’s serial number so that follow-up calls open with full history.
