FAQ
Not seeing your specific issue? A two-minute phone diagnosis usually narrows it down.
Call (800) 555-0190JennAir induction cooktops with Magnetic Rapid Induction technology require ferromagnetic cookware u2014 cast iron, magnetic stainless steel, or carbon steel. Aluminum, copper, glass, and ceramic cookware will not work. If compatible cookware is not detected, the induction coil or the control board may have failed. A magnet test on the cookware bottom confirms compatibility.
Continuous clicking after the burner has lit usually means moisture in the igniter assembly u2014 common after a boilover or cleaning. Let the cooktop dry completely with all burners off. If clicking persists after 24 hours, the igniter switch may be shorted and needs replacement.
JennAir downdraft cooktops have a motorized ventilation panel that rises and lowers. A stuck panel usually indicates a failed lift motor, a bent guide rail, or grease buildup in the track mechanism. Disconnect power before inspecting. The lift motor is a replaceable component.
